This guide outlines how government agencies can access non-public Australian Business Register (ABR) data and upload it to the REMPLAN software.

What is Non-Public ABR Data?

Non-public ABR data includes information not publicly available but accessible to eligible government agencies at no cost. This data includes:

  • Business addresses

  • Industry types (including up to 4 ANZSIC codes per ABN)

  • ABN application received date

  • Contact details (email, phone)

  • Geocoded addresses for mapping

  • List of associates

Step-by-Step Process

1. Check Your Agency’s Access

Confirm if your agency already has access to non-public ABR data: Agency Access List

2. Get a myID and Link It to Your Agency

  • Don’t have a myID? Get started: myID.gov.au

  • Link via RAM (Relationship Authorisation Manager): RAM Info

A ‘primary person’ (an authorised ABN contact) must first link the agency in RAM. Once linked, others can be authorised to access ABR data on behalf of the agency. Authorisations are valid for 12 months and are renewable.

3. Access ABR Data

You can download data for a State/Territory or all of Australia. Save the .zip file as is, no need to open, edit, or filter.

4. Upload ABR Data to REMPLAN

  • Enter your work email and REMPLAN password

  • Click ‘Browse’ to select the .zip file

  • Click ‘Upload’

  • You’ll receive an email confirmation

5. View ABR Data in REMPLAN

Uploaded ABR data will be accessible in your REMPLAN Economy software within 2 business days: REMPLAN Economy Login

Update Frequency

It’s recommended to update ABR data in REMPLAN every 3–6 months, depending on your region’s size.
