This guide outlines how government agencies can access non-public Australian Business Register (ABR) data and upload it to the REMPLAN software.
What is Non-Public ABR Data?
Non-public ABR data includes information not publicly available but accessible to eligible government agencies at no cost. This data includes:
Business addresses
Industry types (including up to 4 ANZSIC codes per ABN)
ABN application received date
Contact details (email, phone)
Geocoded addresses for mapping
List of associates

Step-by-Step Process
1. Check Your Agency’s Access
Confirm if your agency already has access to non-public ABR data: Agency Access List

2. Get a myID and Link It to Your Agency
Don’t have a myID? Get started: myID.gov.au
Link via RAM (Relationship Authorisation Manager): RAM Info
A ‘primary person’ (an authorised ABN contact) must first link the agency in RAM. Once linked, others can be authorised to access ABR data on behalf of the agency. Authorisations are valid for 12 months and are renewable.
3. Access ABR Data
Login to ABR Explorer: ABR Explorer Login
Download the ABR Bulk Data File: Bulk File Download Info
You can download data for a State/Territory or all of Australia. Save the .zip file as is, no need to open, edit, or filter.
4. Upload ABR Data to REMPLAN
Go to: REMPLAN File Uploader
Enter your work email and REMPLAN password
Click ‘Browse’ to select the
.zipfileClick ‘Upload’
You’ll receive an email confirmation
5. View ABR Data in REMPLAN
Uploaded ABR data will be accessible in your REMPLAN Economy software within 2 business days: REMPLAN Economy Login
Update Frequency
It’s recommended to update ABR data in REMPLAN every 3–6 months, depending on your region’s size.
