Learn how to correctly reference REMPLAN when using or sharing REMPLAN data, analysis, charts, tables or other content in reports, presentations, websites, media releases or stakeholder communications.

Written by REMPLAN Support

Before you start

Before referencing REMPLAN content, check that:

  • the content has been copied accurately

  • the source is clearly acknowledged

  • any relevant time periods, assumptions or limitations are retained

  • the content is not presented in a misleading way

  • any third-party data source requirements have been considered

Important: REMPLAN may be cited as the source of data, analysis, modelling outputs or supporting evidence. Do not attribute interpretations, opinions, policy positions, advocacy statements, project commentary or endorsements to REMPLAN unless REMPLAN has expressly agreed to that wording.

How to attribute REMPLAN

Use one of the following attribution formats depending on the context and level of detail required.

Standard attribution

Use this wording when referencing REMPLAN data or analysis in most contexts:

Source: REMPLAN.

Extended attribution

Use this wording when more context is needed:

This material uses data and/or analysis prepared by REMPLAN.

Reports, presentations and public documents

Use this wording for formal documents or public-facing materials:

This material includes data and/or analysis prepared by REMPLAN. REMPLAN is an independent provider of economic, demographic and regional analysis.

Place the attribution where it can be clearly seen by readers or viewers. This may include a footnote, caption, acknowledgements section, source line or text placed near the relevant content.

Using REMPLAN content accurately

When reproducing or referencing REMPLAN material, ensure that:

  • the material is reproduced accurately

  • the source is clearly acknowledged

  • the data or analysis is not presented out of context

  • relevant assumptions, limitations and time periods are retained

  • REMPLAN is not attributed with interpretations, opinions or conclusions it has not expressly made

Interpretations, endorsements and public statements

REMPLAN may be referenced as the source of data, analysis, modelling outputs or supporting evidence.

Any interpretation of findings, policy position, advocacy statement, project commentary or broader conclusion drawn from REMPLAN material should be attributed to the person or organisation making that interpretation, unless REMPLAN has expressly agreed otherwise.

REMPLAN should not be represented as endorsing a project, policy, proposal, investment decision or public position unless this has been confirmed in writing.

Direct quotes, public statements or commentary attributed to REMPLAN should only be used where the wording has been provided or approved by REMPLAN.

Third-party data

REMPLAN materials may incorporate, derive from or reference data from third-party sources, including government, statistical, geographic or proprietary datasets.

Where required, you must also acknowledge the relevant third-party data provider and comply with any applicable copyright, licensing, trademark or terms of use obligations attached to that data.
